Photo of the skating rink at St. Joseph's Elementary School Playground, across Main Street from St. Joe Catholic Church, the oldest of the five City playgrounds that were in use in the 1950s through the 1980s. During the winter months, all five of these playgrounds were converted into skating rinks on which it was safe to skate. Possibly intended for publication in the Penobscot Times. Another photo of the same skating rink was published in the Penobscot Times of 1957-01-03 on p.1.
